Warren Hills High School Student Dead After Being Tackled in a Football Game
In the world of football if you deliver a hard hit or deliver that hail mary touch down pass you are the "man" of the hour. Friday night in New Jersey a high school football player lost his life after being tackled, he was taken away in an ambulance and pronoucned dead at the hospital.
The effects of a concussion may not be seen right away, the high school senior after being hit was able to walk off the field under his own strength and gave the crowd a thumbs up before leaving in an ambulance. The cause of death still hasnt been released to the public.
Murray the high school senior told the athletic training staff that he felt "woozy" after being tackled. Murray is not the first high school student athlete to be taken away and die later after receiving a head injury. This poses another threat the the life of football as concussions are more and more prevelant. There is no real preventative measure to keep tradegies like this from happening we can educate ourselves and make sure that we try to prevent as many as these deaths from happening. Education is the first step in being an informed public, staff, and family.
